The External Halyard Flagpole features a rigging system with the halyard (rope) positioned on the exterior of the flagpole shaft. This rope extends from the base of the pole, runs up through a truck assembly at the top, and then returns to be securely tied to an external cleat, typically mounted 4 ½ feet above ground level. The truck assembly, which may be stationary or revolving, guides the halyard through a pulley system. The revolving option can be equipped with either a single or double pulley, with the single revolving truck being the industry standard.
